We are in the middle of a super long journey through bowel and bladder problems with my 9 year old son.
He is currently clear of constipation but still dealing with dysfunctional voiding and a twitchy bladder. Today he was having a pretty good day but as soon as we went out he suddenly desperately needed the toilet and was wet before we could get there. When I spoke to him later he said he often gets nervous he won’t make it to the toilet or it will be horrible when he gets there.
Has anyone been through this and have any advice on how to ease his worries about using the toilet when out and about?
Thanks

I’m not sure if this is any help but can he use the toilet just before you leave and then when you arrive at a place go and suss out the toilets before he needs to go so that he knows what they are like and can helpfully not fear them as much. Best of luck.
