Urodynamics - now biofeedback?

Finally had long awaited urodynamics study yesterday. Not wildly pleasant for son, but he coped very well and liked the gas and air!

Looks like not overactive bladder but definitely retaining (100ml) and consultant said probably not botox but biofeedback route (but will need team meeting to discuss results fully).

Has anyone had biodynamics (and maybe small bladder). How does it work and what was your outcome for your child?

Thanks. 7 years and counting now. Not much fun for our son and his leaky bladder. Only hope it gets sorted by time he hits teens.

Sorry we were where you are last year - we hand biofeedback and ptns- neither worked for us ... 😐 good luck I really hope and pray different outcome for you x

Hi MrsSquirrel ... How are you getting on now? Have you had the biofeedback? We have an appointment for the urodynamics for our 9 year old son this week so I was pleased to read in your post that your son coped well with the tests. All these tests and treatment can seem overwhelming and we are just want to find the one thing that can help our children

Yes, had biofeedback but nurse decided it was not going to work. He has dyspraxia so could not keep still enough with core muscles and had difficulty isolating his pelvic floor muscles so he could make the dolphin in the computer game jump (the child has stickers on their bum and pelvis which connect to the PC with thin electric leads so they detect if the right muscles are activated). Mirabegron seems less efficient than solifenicin, so we await another appt with consultant in Feb. *Sigh*
