7 year old day and night wetting

My son is 7.5years old. He has never been dry at night and wets during the day 3/4 times a week. We are currently seeing a in continence nurse but are really not getting very far. I believe he can’t hold his wee in and he also needs to wee all the time it is like he can’t fully empty his bladder so leaks in his pants. I don’t know what to do. He is going in to juniors in September and still has wet pants during the day a lot. Need some help!

Have you had him checked for constipation? My 7.5 year old son is the same. Might also be worth getting a bladder scan as they'll measure how much urine is in his bladder when full and after emptying to make sure he's emptying fully. Is he drinking enough during the day?

We had bladder scans about 2 years ago and all came back ok, doctors kept saying that he would grow out of it, but still not. I am going to go back to the doctors next week and try and get referred again. Feel so sorry for him as he is constantly wet, I get frustrated, but deep down I know its not his fault. He's not constipated, no issues with poos.

Hi our son is the same. 7.5 years and wet every night and a few accidents during the day. I can't offer any help but totally understand your concerns.

We've tried everything but keep getting told it will happen one day. He needs to strengthen his bladder by drinking more throughout the day.

When you say he isn't constipated how do you know? Often just because they go doesn't mean they aren't backed up and this will press on the bladder hence the accidents will happen.
