I'm trying to set up a support group in Hampshire for parents with children who have toileting issues. I currently have 15 members on my closed Facebook group. If you're interested in joining please do. Eventually I'd like to set up face to face support meetings where parents can come and rant, swap information etc. I'm starting really local but would like to spread out if the group becomes popular.
You could try and set one up. I've got a closed Facebook group but hope to set up face to face meetings in the future. I've written to local schools near me, Beaver groups, GP Surgeries and other organisations. It's tough as toileting is such a taboo subject to most people but because of what we've been through I talk about it A LOT. 😁 I've got a call with ERIC on Tuesday as I'm hoping they can help me with the group. You're very welcome to join mine if you'd like.
I'd love to join, really could do with talking to other parents and not feeling like a failure! Where are you in Hampshire? We are in Winchester/Southampton area.
We're in Alton so not far from Winchester/Southampton really. Ask to join and I'll accept it and then you're in. It's not very well used at the moment but I had a lady join from Southsea yesterday. I'd love to get face to face meetings together for parents. It's really helped me to talk knowing that I'm not the only one going through this. Xx
Hi. You should think of joining Facebook even if under a false name. I'm a member of Daytime wetting in Children and Teens, a national group, Movicol Mummies and a Bedtime Wetting group. I find them useful as a way of venting and obtaining information. There's lots of families out there on incontinence journey. Give it a try. Xx
