Cosmocol paediatric help

Does anyone know if I can get my daughter more Cosmocol without prescription. We are on day 4 of disimpaction and I have looked in the box and the GP hasn’t given me enough sachets 😡 I’m so upset because I don’t want to have to stop and start again but with it being Sunday I don’t know what to do. If I took the box to the pharmacy do you think they would issue some without prescription? We did 4 day 1, 6 day 2, 8 day 3 and looking at the box there are only 6 sachets left but we should be going up to 10 today as she is still not passing number 7 stools (although we did have a number 6 this morning which is great but I really don’t want to stop and go backwards). Anyone have any advice about what we could do???? My GP doesn’t have an out of hours number, only 111.

Hope you got it sorted, you can phone the doctors today and get them to speak to the GP. Bit rubbish they gave you the wrong amount. I think you can get adult movicol at a chemist (paediatric is just half dose of adult stuff)

Thank you Robinia, I’ve managed to get some more sachets for her. But having counted up the sachets in the box I’ll need to get her more for Wednesday anyway! Why are GPs so reluctant to give how much she actually needs?! It must add to their paperwork if I’m calling every two days to get more?!

Argh....the last thing you need is the hassle of that...it’s bad enough doing a disimpaction!!

My sons cosmocol is on repeat, maybe ask if they will consider doing that?

Thank you Robinia, finally made a doctor see sense today and prescribe 120 sachets so I can complete the process without having to phone every two days! And he has put the prescription on repeat too 🙂
