Looking for a post- London hospurak

Hi everyone,

I recently read a post about a parent who's child went to a specialist clinic in a London hospital. The child had a range of tests done over the course of one day, & the thread said they possibly accepted private patients too....does anyone know the name of that hospital?

Trying to find some answers for my little dude so we at least know what we are dealing with.

Thanks x

hi, the name is Evelina Children's Hospital, its connected with St Thomas' and runs a specialist bowel and bladder clinic. A few of us have been there, I wrote a post back in April about our visit. If you have any questions I'd be happy to answer them.

Yes it's the Evelina hospital, we went as nhs patients but only because it was a complex case, but I'm sure you can go private, they are fantastic because they have their department for renal (bladder and bowel) hope you get some answers xx

Definitely quite a few of us been! I've mentioned it a couple of times so have a look at previous posts or replies but happy to answer any questions you have specifically and hope you're able to get answers for you both.

Thank you for all comments. It's a very long way to go for us, over four hours journey, but it may be worth it in the end. I will have to do some enquiring into cost and also work out what I actually want from them 🤔 Do they have experience in only medical renal issues or do they also include behaviour & psychological side of it if necessary? Hope my question makes sense...thanks xx

Sorry, I don't know if they do have the behavioural side of it but am sure if you rang and spoke to someone they'd quickly be able to tell you that. They are a children's hospital but also attached to St Thomas's so I'd be surprised if somewhere if there they didn't have some sort of psychological support. It's a big commitment though both with travel and cost....if you did talk to them they may be aware of similar units that are nearer to you?

Either way, good luck!

Thanks...your right it is a massive commitment 😔 probably not something I will attempt to do any time soon but it's a slight relief to know the option might be there if ever needed...the situation just really wears me down at times...I just wish I knew what I was dealing with. I will ask about similar units nearby. Thanks xx
