Giggle incontinence

My 10 year old granddaughter has been diagnosed by Evalina with giggle incontinence. It has taken 4 years to get this diagnosis although we were sure it was that before she was 5. She completely voids 6-8 times daily and despite trying a multitude of drugs from Ritalin to beta agonists nothing has made the slightest difference. The next step is botux injections in her bladder which will need to be repeated every 6 months. There is hardly any information or support out there for this very distressing condition because it is very rare. She is due to start secondary school in September and her life will become so much harder. So far she has managed to keep it from all her friends apart from one. Anyone else out there who has this condition? Any tips or treatment that has worked?

Have you tried the ERIC website they have very informative leaflets and a helpline which could be of use to you. Difficult situation and a delicate age I wish you well.

Hi I have just discovered this website and your story sounds similar to my daughters. I was wondering if anything has helped yet? My daughter has had giggle incontinence since 4 years of age & is now 13 and still doing it. Thank you
