My son is 8 and still wears nappies at night. His 5 year old sister is nearly dry at night and often wears nappies because her older brother does. Would love him to be dry so can go on school trip next year!

Bed wetting
Have you spoken to your school nurse or GP to ask to be referred to your local enuresis/continence service? That is how I got my son sorted with night time. The school nurse got us an appointment with continence clinic & they got us to measure how much urine he was producing compared to drinking, then we tried desmomelts (which didn't work for him) & then an alarm (which got him dry within a couple of weeks).
Hopefully u can get the help u need xx
Hi there - definitely ask your GP to refer you to your local eneuresis clinic, if you haven't already - hopefully they'll have some ideas they can suggest, and they have medication and stuff they can try. It can take a while (so people keep telling me!). My daughter's 8 and while we're not resolved with night time wetting, it's definitely better than it was thanks to some help we've had, we had to keep asking though.
Good luck, hope he can get on that trip (to be fair, though, I think you'd be amazed how many others thinking about that trip are still wet at least sometimes...)
Try not to stress about the bedtime pants. See your GP to check if there's anything he can suggest or medicine if needed. It might be something like my own experience where I was too scared to get up as I was scared of the dark. Speak to him and see what he thinks he might be aware of the problem himself.
