Vegetarian/Vegan Lifestyle and Epilepsy

Hi, is anyone here a Vegetarian/vegan and has epilepsy? If yes, have you notice improvements with your seizures, you have them less often or opposite you had more seizures in that period, or no change at all?

I’ve been a vegetarian for almost 8 years and never look at it this way but because of my late seizure I started looking much deeper at many things that could be improved in my lifestyle, like diet (rather than “just” lack of sleep, stress etc) so one thing I realised since I’ve been vegetarian I had more seizures than before I changed my diet. I’ve been a vegetarian for few reasons, one ethical and two I don’t miss meat and never really like it (no red meat at all) I was eating usually chicken and turkey. I know how important the proteins are and I am taking supplements including vitamin B12, and food that is high in protein, but maybe I am not having it (protein) enough in daily intake generally. Maybe it is really just lack of sleep and stress that is behind my seizures. So I am just wondering if anyone here is a vegetarian or vegan.

Would be great to hear your opinion and experience how you are cooping or recommendations what your daily meals look like in terms of nutritions and vitamins.

Thank you!
