Hi I'm new to here. Searching for answers.

I have suspected for a while that I have been having a form of seizure. It presents itself like an absence. I'm like unable to function. I'm sort of aware at the time. It only lasts for seconds to a minute.

I've seen a neurologist and they keep saying Migraine. I don't have migraines or headaches. Not tested in anyway at all. Any help advice would be great.

I would you expand more on your visit to the neurologist. Likewise did the neurologist test you or not.

Although there can be a link in some cases between migraine and epilepsy there is a big difference between the two. People experiencing migraine experience excruciating pain, sickness and more besides

I don't get pain and have never really had any previous concerns. I have however had many experiences of what I described. Latest one being today. It seemed to last longer today. My eyes were fixated and I was unable to move. Limbs also when rigid.

Hello traceyannbates

What a frustrating situation to find yourself in.

If you do not agree with the diagnosis from the neurologist that you have already seen, maybe you could talk to your GP to ask if it is possible to get another opinion. Although you don’t have a legal right to this, your GP must consider your request.
