does anyone have problems with there bowe... - Endometriosis UK
does anyone have problems with there bowel. when i go a number 2 its extremely painful anyone else get this.
I did before my last op, it was because my bowel was stuck to my pelvis. It was very painful and I dreaded needing to go but if I didn't it was worse!
It can be lonely when you feel that nobody else understands the pain you have to go through but reach out to people. We all need support, have you tried your local endo group? X
You need to ask to see your consultant who may do a laparoscopy. I had the same problem and was diagnosed with Recto-Vaginal Endometriosis. They found two patches of Endo on my bowel which I had removed by a procedure called excision. Since my op, Ive had no problems in that department.
Hope you get it sorted soon. Good luck xxx
Hi Kasy, you are not alone fellow endo sister. going to the loo can be agony - i know this. i have used some cream that helps a little at the time - but awaiting seeing a colorectal specialist - its embarrasing - its terribly painful and you do feel alone - just remember each time it happens WE BELIEVE YOU AND UNDERSTAND. I hope you are getting good support from your GP and Gyne - try not to be embarrased and talk openly as it is - all the best xxx
I too had this problem, and had awfulpain when i needed to go to the toilet, i had a laparoscopy done 2 weeks ago, and my bowel was stuck to my uterus. I have been put on zoladex for 3 more months and im hoping it will be pain free once im off it. I had very severe endometriosis, and 2 large endrometriomas, im hoping i can conceive once its all calmed down. Good luck to you all, it is an awful disease.
Yes. My endo has twisted my bowel so it can be very painful when going to the loo. The best thing I can do to help is to make sure I drink lots of water each day, keep active and eat lots of fibre to keep things moving. I also keep Senna in the house so I never get constipated. Its impossible to push (sorry if TMI) as its just too painful.
oh hunny feel your pain ,i use normacol with mild laxative ,it comes in a big box and i get it on prescription .If i dont take it im doubled in to ,to many meds .
Hi yes i'm having a slight bleed when opening my bowels and the achy pain last for hours if not days don't know the answer but make sure you get it investigated it can be serious i'm having lots of investigation
Good Luck with everything chin up try and stay positive
Persil xx
Yes, Kasy. You are not alone and your pain is valid. I had my 1st LAP last month. I am only Stage 1 but in horrid pain all month (most bad during ouvlstion and period). My endo was found inbetween my uterus & bowel as well as inbetween my uterus & bladder. Sadly surgery did not help me with pain at all. I want to go back on birth control for relief, but I am TTC. I wonder what type of pain you have with your bowel?
For me I do not have pain pushing like some ladies mentioned... but rather I either have the runs for multiple days (feels fiery/burns and sometimes bleeds while on period). When I am not having these runs and instead am constipated, if it is too long that I don't go I get a weird shock like as if someone shocked me with a tazer up my butt or similar to cyst pain but in the anal area instead. That is the only way to explain what I experience due to bowel endo. I am sorry you go through this pain too...
For those of you who mentioned using senna/laxatives do you only experience constipation and not the runs/bloody runs? Also, how often do you take the laxatives?
