I have taken prostap for three months! During this I have suffered hair loss and had break through bleeding! I had the last injection 5 wks ago and have decided that would be my last. I am seeing gyny today and feeling guilty that I'm not giving it a good try? Did any one else feel like this????

Hi Junnie19,
If you had asked me this question 6 months ago I would've said negative things as my first prostap injection in Sept last year took a few weeks to kick in. I stuck with it & had a 2nd injection in November which was like an instant positive. My symptoms had come back with a vengeance but within 48 hours of me having 2nd jab I was feeling great again.
I have since had laparoscopy & have got endo on my ovaries. I have decided to have a hysterectomy as I've been fortunate enough to have had 2 children, I don't want periods anymore as the pain & PMT are off the scale and I cannot carry on like I am with this constant pain & terrible mood swings & weepiness the whole time.
I have had my final prostap today, really just to tide me over until my op on 8th march.
I hope this helps. Its so different for each woman but my advice would be to stick with it & I'm sure things will improve, it takes time at first but in my experience it has been mostly positive.
If you have any more questions, please just ask, I understand how you must be feeling.
Naomi xx
Are you on add back HRT! If not I think you need to discuss it with your Dr.
You have to ask yourself if the problems it causes are better than the problems it solves. I found it wonderful (with HRT add back) BECAUSE I wasn't bleeding all the time for the first time in years, and I wasn't in agony all the time. I suffered a bit with the menopause stuff, and still had 10% of my normal pains left, but I honestly would have it all the time if I could!
