What???? I hear you shout. Are you mad??? probably
A small upside of having endo is that you are insanely grateful when you finally see an improvement. Today I managed to walk the 1 mile from work to home. This is the first time I have managed this since my lap in Sept. The simple pleasure of walking home made me blissfully happy.
Another upside is that I am rarely embarressed. After having 5 med students look at my bits while my legs were up in stirrups not much makes me blush!
I also have more empathy and understanding for others with chronic medical conditions.
Finally, websites like this provide a treasure trove of useful knowledge, amazing support, and stories of hope.

Made me smile as I can so relate to what you are saying. So glad you were able to walk home - hope you are not suffering too much from doing that now x
When I finally address the pile of washing up, hoover the pet hair off the carpet and have the energy to change the sheets and do a bit of housework, I realise my pain levels have slightly eased
and I feel elated. Having a rare good day is something to celebrate and I do! I even get out and visit a friend I haven't seen for ages - because I feel better for that day. It is wierd pain makes me look so haggard and I feel ugly. On rare good days, my face looks so much better, my skin looks better and occasionally I can wear those slightly more fitted jeans that normally due to bloating and pinching I have to replace with baggy unflattering ones that are so loose they often drop down exposing part of my buttocks. On those good days I suddenly remember what is was once like to 'have a life', ring any bells?
