Hi for those who were interested in the outcome after my weird symptoms, i had my lap last week and recovering well, if a little tired. I don't remember much of what the consultant said when she saw me after, but she obviously saw a fibroid which she was "very tempted to cut off but couldnt" and also "scar tissue and inactive endometriosis". She sort of played it down and shrugged as if this couldnt possibly be what was causing the pain - even though it was in the EXACT spot of the pain, and i don't know if she did remove it, i guess I will find out when I see her next.
Can anyone tell me what "inactive" endometriosis is? And does scar tissue cause pain if inactive stuff doesnt? Would she have removed scar tissue? I agree that the pain had subsided, or at least become a more manageable type of pain lately but was still there. If its inactive, should she have removed it anyway? Sorry for more questions but it is a month till i see her again.

if i were you ask the GP if you wanna know now... than waiting to see her again and you should have asked while you were there and say to them that you wont move until you have the full details ok sorry i dont know what inactive endo means to be honest as it is inside you body... sorry i cant be able to help x
As I understand it inactive endo is spots of endo deposits which can be seen on your organs/pelvic area during a laparoscopy. These deposits often show up as being white in colour and the consultant has called them inactive as she must think they are not causing you pain/discomfort or any other endo symptoms.
From what you have said it is obviously not inactive if it is causing you pain. It would be worth making a GP appointment to see if he/she has received any further information from the consultant directly from the hospital or whether they can contact your gynae's secretary for further information. Did the gynae offer any treatment options at all?
Scar tissue is also likley to cause pain hun for me its the scaring that hurts sometimes more than the endo ... Some times the nerves also get damaged speak to your GP x
