Hello, I've just started on Cerazette, and it's working for me so far! I'm coming to the end of my first pack and although I had a couple of problems early on, because I changed straight from Levest, since then it's been great (fingers crossed), no break through bleeding, no pain, etc. And as it's a continuous pill, I shouldn't have any periods at all. But it is still early days I suppose.

Everything is worth giving a go when it comes to endometriosis treatment...

hi, i was on cerazette and i bled continually on it (only 5 days clear out of 40+). i think ,like most pharmaceuticals, it'll work for some and not others. we all have the same condition but our hormone levels/balance will be so very different.

pleased it's working for you :)

I was on it for 5 weeks and although pain free from endo symptoms I had very, very swollen breasts and they were extremely sore including the nipples, so sore that I am going to go back to the GP for an alternative pill. I have also put on a fair amount of weight which is water retention in legs etc.

Hi there - I bled on Cerazette as well and the side effects were horrendous for me - fluid retention, sollen breasts and weight gain. And there was no noticeable relief from the endo symptoms. It was so awful that I stopped taking them. Now on Prostap3 and very pleased with the results. Hope it works for you - as one other posted said, we are all different! :-) xxx

Hi, I have stage 4 endo and have tried various things, I was put on cerazette when I had my last baby and I must admit it works for me, I do get the odd time like now where I have a bit of bleeding and stabbing pains in my ovary but that is once every 6 months and I can cope with that and lead a relative normal life. We are all different and all our endo's are different, I do hope it works for you xxx

Hi. I am halfway through the 4th month. I have my period every two weeks right now, but it is very light and seems to decrease with every cycle and it seems my uterus is cleaning up and gets rid of a lot of old stuff, if that makes sense.. The pain has decreased as well.

I seem to have severe mood swings every now and then, but one woman in my support group said if it is not too bad I should take it at least 6 month. She has been on it for over 3.5 years and says it started to work fine after about that time, so fingers crossed for me. And as I only want to jump at peoples throat every now and then, but no other bad symptoms like weight gain I will stick with it for another couple of month.:) Cheers

Hi, I've been on Cerazette for the last 3 year. It is working miracles for me.

I had severe pain before starting it and the other option was another laparoscopy. I started taking it and immediately the pain started going away. in a couple of months I had my body back, I could have a walk longer than 10 minutes without pain now I can walk for hours. I had some spotting for the first 2 weeks but no real bleeding, and I had no bleeding during this 3 years.

As for the mood... the first months I had bad swings of mood, jumping at the throat of my husband for nothing. I was happy and a moment later crying, I felt like I was not me anymore. It goes away a bit, but I still feel often down and very sensitive. Also headaches are frequent. Anyway it's no match for having no endo pain! I can take cerazette for another 2 years continuosly and I'm more scared to come off than to stay on it considering its drawbacks.

I suppose you should try it and stay on it at least a few months. if the pain goes away resist longer, also the mood will get better.

Hi RuthieY. I've just started taking Cerazette, in fact I've only taken it for 18 days and I've started bleeding quite heavy. I am also taking Mefenamic Acid and Tranexamic acid, as well has nursing a few hot water bottles, co-codamol and movelate gel to rub on my back and legs. Touch wood although I am still having a period that awful pain I suffered for only two days, which for me is a bonus. GIve it a go. I find a health diet of plenty of green and bright coloured veg and cut down on caffine also helps symptoms a bit. I hope it all works out okay for you.

Hi, I used to take cerazette and it was quite good for me, no bleeding at all but I still had some cramps and PMS symptoms each month, weird. everyone is different so please try it, I think I may go back on it.

Having an utterly crap day. Went to see my Endo consultant this morning for a routine 6m review. I've been advised to stop my Prostap injections immediately as my bone density scan was showing bad signs. I have been on it for 18 months.

After a long chat we have arrived at the point where I will try a progesterone only contraceptive pill - Cerezette, which I've been on before.

I'm absolutely terrified that this won't work and my chronic pain will return as well as heavy periods. I have a review booked for 3 months time and failing this working the only route I have left is a full hysterectomy.Feeling pretty sad, worried, and let down.

Not convinced Cerezette will work and very nervous as my pain was incredibly bad before Prostrap.
