New Potential Endo Diagnosis

Hi all, after a long history of painful and heavy periods with significant bloating and nausea, things got a lot worse this year. My GP this month has said he thinks I have endo, and I now have symptoms all the time and have had to be signed off work. I have horrendous nausea and retching, cramps and now constipation too. I guess I am just hoping there is light at the end of the tunnel? I want to get back to work and back to being me and doing normal things, however battling to even get GP appointments. Any home remedies or advice welcome <3

Hi

Sorry you’re going through are feeling so bad with symptoms. Has GP referred you to gynae? I would hope so, important referral goes to someone with an understanding of Endo. Has GP given you painkillers?

Some find an anti inflammatory diet helps, Jessica Duffin does podcasts that covers things like that and there’s plenty on diets. Some try dairy and gluten free. Can be worth looking, I tried all sorts but didn’t make much difference but there are ladies here that found it useful.

You will likely have to advocate for yourself, taking someone to appointments can help if you have willing family or friends. Don’t be afraid to talk to GP or consultants, it’s very much a two way street. 🙂

Not what you're looking for?
