I don't know if anyone remembers my others posts, but I've been suffering from endometriosis symptoms for the past 16+ years, after a complete hysterectomy, I've got over active bladder, stress incontinence, very bloody stools, pain during sex, pain in pelvis, shortness of breath.I was diagnosed with endometriosis on my appendix last year.
Anyway it was decided to do an MRI, to see where else it may be.
Anyway..... Got my MRI results off the GP today.
I have adesions on my vagina, bladder and bowels, so stuck together , they can't tell if it's endometriosis of course, as only an histology can tell that, but no wonder I'm in pain 😞 won't know my options until I discuss it with gynocologist in march, I had to cancel my Jan appointment with her as it was while we are away 😞
My question is, what are the chances the adhesions are endo?
And what are my choices?
Because I can actually feel my insides stuck together 😕😕

Hi!Honestly idk if adesion can be caused by something else than abdominal surgeries, which you had, and endo, that you have.
In any case, if they are symptomatic usually they remove them. In my case uterus stuck with rectum and ovary stuck to abdominal wall. I had pain during and after sex, and with any bowel movement. It was chronic, not only during the period. My symptoms improved a lot after the surgery.
So deciding on the surgery depends on you and how much it affects your life.
Hi joonaspryteI'm 56, i recently had an mri and have two cysts/lesions embedded on my right vagina wall. I have suffered all my life with my periods, drs were never interested, one even told me periods are like water passing through! I was passing clots and a lot of dark brown discharge at that time! Long story short, I have had post menopausal bleeding on and off for over 2 years and i have recently been diagnosed with adenomyosis and in the process of having the cysts looked at by a urologist, no idea why I'm not seeing a specialist so I haven't much hope. My answer to your question is, it could be anything from a Gartner duct cyst to endometriosis, insist a specialist endo Dr is looking at it. I was told because im post menopausal i cant have endo! Again, i haven't seen a specialist. Please let me know how you get on, wishing you all the best and hope you have a nice time away! X can i ask if you have been through the menopause yet? x
Sorry you're going through this.I had evidence of my sigmoid colon being adhered to my uterus in a 2020 MRI. despite this the Gynae wasn't planning to address, so I assumed superficial....fast fwd to May2024 when I am finally being listed for a full hysterectomy plus excision of 5x5cm endometrioma from rectus abdominus muscle, plus reconstruction....I mentioned pain in lower left side and Gynae ordered another MRI, upshot is I have endo in my bowel (at the sigmoid) and associated stricture, requiring now a bowel resection and temporary stoma afterwards.....the gynae called this bowel issue a 'new finding' despite my 2020 MRI findings.
After finding the lump in my stomach muscles in September 2019 I am finally listed for surgery on 20th Jan.
Sorry long story but yes, they can be stuck together and in my case have led to much bigger issues.
I've had to advocate for myself constantly in 5.5 years to get this far, so sadly that'd be my only advice to you....you know your body, don't take no for an answer, it's sad we have to do this, but could be caterstrophic if we don't 😕 sending love
