FCP and endo ?

hi can anyone tell me if there’s any correlation between FCP and endometriosis, my GP think I may have endo although my FCP is 600+ I have been tested for IBD and all negative .. I’m in constant pain whether on my period or after or middle with very similar pains especially when I wake up , I take azathioprine for another condition ( OFG ) and tramadol for pain relief ..

I have endo and recently have had an increase in bowel symptoms which I am awaiting gastro input for. My calprotectin came back raised (not as high as yours) and they said it could be IBD but I need more investigations. I'm wondering whether it's endo in the bowel but I don't know of course. Will have to wait and see. x

I hope it goes well!! I have had colonoscopy small bowel mri and capsule endoscopy, all normal and I’m just taking another test of the yk so waiting for the results , if it’s still high then it’s a mystery , all doctors were convinced I had Crohn’s disease ..they haven’t considered endo apart from one GP as I have all symptoms and my pains are getting worse and more frequent

Thank you! If your thinking it could be endo then definitely ask for a referral to gynae. There are specialist endo centres (BSGE centres) which take more complex endo including with bowel involvement. They are highly trained so in terms of interpreting scans (looking for endo) they are much better equipped as often signs of endo can be missed by less-trained eyes. So just something to consider. I've been referred to a centre but awaiting triage. And awaiting general gastroenterology too.

Ofcourse ! I’ve got a gynae appointment in end of December I’m feeling very urgent trying to see someone tho I am only young so i really don’t want to be waited for , I will try get a BSGE appointment but it’s very interesting as I also have a rare skin condition called OFG , I just feel very isolated and stuck with it all
