I've recently received a diagnosis of endometriosis, but I'm wondering if I have both endo and adenomyosis. As the only medication that provides me with any relief is muscle relaxants (diazipam)
To those out there with adenomyosis, would you say you experience or experienced the same? Would it be worth asking the GP to refer me again for a more extensive look?
Thank you.
I'm hope you're having a pain free day today.

I have both and was confirmed with a mri scan. Im on zoledex injections now till my hystectomy. I found the pains so bad like labour at times.Def worth getting gynae or dr to refer for mri
If you're looking for a second opinion, then I would get your GP to refer you to a BSGE accredited centre.
Centres with this accreditation are hospitals with proven track records for diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis. They also tend to be the endometriosis research centres with new trials ongoing.
Hi I have a diagnosis of both, my adenomyosis was found on a private transvaginal ultrasound, if you are wanting quicker confirmation it is a route you can try, I paid £79 for mine and it comes with a full report with scan pictures that you can send to the GP. Not sure where you are based but I used ultrasound care which is in liverpool. Hope you get sorted soon x
