hi all, I’ve been trying to read up on articles what was found to help me understand my pain etc, due to it progressing again after having the mirena inserted 3 years ago. When I spoke with the gp last week I got to see the images of the lesions found. I was told originally I had a spot on my ovary, however there was two spots from what I could see. What I have been trying to read and find out is, do these spots progress to endometriomas? I read on only one place it’s the inversion of the endometriosis lesion on the ovary and filling with blood which causes it, but I haven’t read anywhere else of this and when I asked the consultant if this is a risk for endometrioma she said no. Hence the confusion.

also I have been having needing to urinate more often which is unusual for me and feel that typical end pain with slight relief after urinating. I thought I was having uti and bought those urine strips. For 7 weeks it was showing blood in urine (non-haemolysis) but dr said no uti when sent off. When I asked about the blood which she also found on her strip she said menstrual blood could get in the sample but I haven’t had a period for 4 months due to the mirena. Could this be endo in my bladder? Anyone have experience with this?

Hi Trancelove, I had the same urinary symptoms. I would ask to be referred to urogynae to have some tests done as the GP assuming it's menstrual blood is really negligent it could be lots of causes including endo. Mine was that my bladder wasn't emptying properly which was found when they did urodynamic studies. It's still not clear if it's endo or interstitial cystitis but defo wasn't period blood x
