So I have recently been diagnosed with Adenomyosis and am currently at the end of my 3 rd month on postal 3 injection. I just wanted to speak to you guys who have had thus injection and what side were us you have had. I am really struggling at the moment and just wanted to see if what I'm experiencing is the same as other have?

Hi there. I’m currently on month 10 of Prostap and also take Tibolone to stop the horrible menopausal side affects. It works very well for me. I had a course of Prostap without any hormonal therapy about 12 years ago and it was brutal. I really needed the replacement hormones and felt 100% better after taking Tibolone. Have you been offered anything to help with the effects of Prostap?
So far no I haven’t. It’s really taken a toll on my health and especially my mental health. Is it worth asking for some help with it? It’s left me feeling like I do not want another injection at all. We have a very long delay on seeing gynaecologists here and I won’t see one before I need my next injection anyway. I just don’t know what to do
Absolutely, ask for it. I would have expected your clinician to have discussed hormone add back therapy to help with chemical menopause which is what Prostap has induced. There may be other treatments that suit you but definitely discuss getting add back hormones. It made me feel human again when I took it and again, this time round I wouldn’t be without Tibolone. x
