Hi there. I've been on Zoladex for Endo for nearly 4 months and have had 3 injections to date. Yes, I think it's normal for some women to feel sick and have terrible headaches - I know I did with the first two!!
I was dreading the 3rd injection, as just before I was due one, the sickness and headaches would subside, and I'd begin to feel ok - just for it all to start again as soon as the next injection was administered - so I was extremely relieved that after the 3rd injection I had no sickness and no headaches. I spoke with my Consultant just before the 3rd injection, and he said that if I could just make it to the 3rd one, it should settle down.....and he was right 👍
Give it a little bit longer - at least until the 3rd injection - and see how you feel. The flare up's should subside too - I still had the awful 'pulling and ripping' sensation - but that has now stopped.
I now feel ok & well and am pain free. The only thing Zoladex hasn't done yet for me, is stop my periods - I still have those, but they are much lighter and easier to manage. I hope that after my 4th injection, they will disappear altogether - because otherwise, it's back to the drawing board!!!
Hope this helps a little, knowing you're not the only one, and that all the side effects are temporary.
Hi. Sorry to jump on I get my 3rd injection tomorrow. Not had any side affects really, however I am struggling with my eyes, floaters etc going to ask for my BP checked tomorrow optician said its migrains. Wondering if headaches etc are a common side affect, I used to suffer from extreamly bad migrains and these are nothing like it, no pain just funny vision.
Hope your feeling OK otherwise, I remember we were starting at a similar time. X
