dienogest - shivers and cold

Hi everyone. Am on day 3 of taking dienogest and since yesterday I have been feeling freezing cold and shivery, also getting numb hands, and the veins on my arms and legs very visible (like a circulatory problem). Otherwise feel ok. Anyone else had this as a side effect? Wondering if it is related or I’m just run down 🙄

Any similar experiences appreciated.

I was shivering for the entire time while on pills. It took me months to return to normal after I stopped taking them.

Thanks, really appreciate your reply. I think it must just be the shift in hormones, at least it’s summer I suppose… will see how I go :/

I been on dienogest for just over two months now, and yes I been shivering a lot and half my hand is completely numb and my left thigh ! Went to my gp and they have referred me to muscular team! Had really bad sciatica from the last surgery, so they think the numbness is nerve damage!

Maybe is the Dienogest causing the numbness 🤔

How odd. I have sciatica too but that predates the medication and is likely due to where lesions have cropped up - yet to be investigated when I get a lap appointment. A week in to dien now and I am still getting the shivering, also now migraines, am achy and fatigued… just keep telling myself I have got to give it time to settle. If it helps with the endo pain it will be worth it. I hope the muscular team can help you out, sounds like you’ve been through it, fingers crossed for you.
