hi u may have seen me before but I have three different results within a few months.
first scan showed - private
immobile left ovary located in pouch of Douglas and features of adhesions
Left ovary doesn’t move freely
Second scan showed - nhs
scan just showed free fluid in pouch of Douglas
third scan showed - a different private place
scan showed thin endometrium- he’s looking at the line in my uterus … what does this mean?
My ovary is located in pouch of Douglas no signs of adhesions - he seemed uneducated on endometriosis as he said if I had endometriosis my endometrium line would be gone. He also said adhesions are caused by c-sections so I wouldn’t have them…
He said the ovary located in the pouch of douglas is normal. Is it tho?
He also said my ovaries moved freely.
I’ve been experiencing painful cramps and also sex … leg pain too on periods , bladder issues / bowel issues etc!!!
Then had a follow up with a private gp with the service and he was so helpful about endometriosis and said that it doesn’t always show on scans and he was very sympathetic and helpful.
He wants me to be checked for pcos (I already have pcos as irregular periods etc)…

I have stage 4 endo, widespread adhesions, and nothing endo-related ever shows on ultrasounds.
Lining thickness depends on where you are on your cycle. And it’s not only c-sections that cause adhesions. I wouldn’t trust anything that person said based on their comments.
I have PCOS and endo, and my scans usually show cysts. Endo was only identified via laparoscopy.

Literally the same here with that, I have a small nodule and adhesions and the woman who did the VUS obviously had an idea what she was looking for as she wrote heavily suspected endometriosis. My MRI was pelvis and spinal but showed nothing - but tbf he was looking for endo. (My doc wanted to rule out cancer).
So now I’m awaiting a laparoscopy as tbh mri’s can sometimes see endo lesions but only a lap can generally give a definitive answer. VUS’s etc are good at giving them reason to go in and look and more of an idea where exactly to concentrate.
I’ve never had a c section, I’ve never had fully birthed kids (just one miscarriage many years ago) so what that doc said to you was definitely erroneous given my own research.
Definitely chase it up, but you’re looking at a lap unfortunately gor proper answers and perhaps some removals. My wait time is currently 3 months down from 6 now.
My heart goes out to you - it’s an horrific process on top of all of the pain.
