Thickened uterine lining and vascular cysts

Has anyone any experience with the following I had an ultrasound a few weeks ago I thought I felt a small lump and just wanted some reassurance. I have been on prostap for 2 years recently switched to letrozole and norehisterone a week before the scan. The results have shown that my uterus lining is very thick and I have many vascular cysts in the uterus. I only found out yesterday after going to the gp with severe heavy bleeding for the last 10 days. She seemed concerned and said she would forward my results straight Over to my consultant and that I would probably need a ct scan. Has anyone else been told this and what was the cause I'm really worried.

Thank you

Morning I have thickening of the uterus lining which for me means adenomyosis, I have terrible bleeding problems and labour like pains. I was diagnosed via MRI. I also have multiple cysts and told not to worry about them as they disappear on their own and are due to having a period x

Thank you no one has mentioned adenomyosis. I havent had a proper period since May 2023 until last week. I will try not to worry about it

Hello Rachel,

I took letrozol for 5 years post breast cancer, it is intended for post menopausal women. Perhaps you should get your prescription checked by a doctor?

All the best with your health issues. I had similar womb problems, letrozol helped to shrink my giant womb!

Regards

Tracey

Thank you , the consultant said they have had success in treating endometriosis with letrozole as a last resort. I'm 32 I'm waiting for a hysterectomy. I've been bleeding through.prostrap but not much for the last 7 months.

Thank you for explaining this, as I was worried about you. Sorry to hear you are going to have a hysterectomy so young, however , life gets so much better without endo so your future is bright. All the best x
