I had ovaries and tubes and endo removed ten days ago. I thought I was doing quite well but my left side ovary pain is back so I’m worried now but the ovary is gone - hopefully it’s just muscle pain but I can’t bear the thought of this pain again. Anyone else had this op and then been ok after a while? Thanks!!

I had areally big excision op and need to stay on pain killers for about two months after it. The surgeons will have pulled and cut your body around inside and it's really normal for it to feel tender. You have only been just over a week. The surgeon told me it takes about a year to heal completely and definitely a couple of months to see a big drop in pain. Talk to your surgeon and tell him/her you are still in pain in any case, if they have any concerns they will altrasound you just to check, but I think maybe they just didn't tell you how long it takes to feel better after the op. Good luck xx

when I a cystatomy I still had pain in ovary for a while but went away after about a couple months. Now pain flared up but thankfully not so bad as doctor changed amitripiline to Gabapentin and the pain is more bareable until I have my bowel resection and frozen pelvis unfrozen x
