I’ve just had my second laparoscopy for stage 4 deep infiltrative endometriosis. I had lots excised including around my left ureter, and bowel (I had to have bowel shaving). Although it’s still early days (I’m 11 days post op) I’m experiencing the same pain and pressure on the lower left abdomen I was experiencing before the op. It’s really disappointing as I was hoping the op would resolve this. I’m worried the surgeon has missed some endo in this area?
We are trying to conceive and will be starting ivf soon - should I postpone this until I know what this issue is on the left?
Just looking for some advice or hear people’s experiences! x x

Hi Babymagic27, I am struggling with the same thing. I had my 2nd lap surgery on 9th November and had a lot of endometriosis tissue removed including unsticking my bowel (I too have stage 4 deep infiltrated endo) but the pain since honestly feels worse. Initially I was sore post op but this is now a constant flare up every few days, I usually suffer on my right side but it’s spread to my left side now and all across my back. I keep having to take time off work, taking a ridiculous amount of painkillers and not sure what else to do. How has your post op care been with your consultant? Mine is ok but when I told him I’m still in pain he said it could be up to 3 months given the extent of the surgery
