I am new here and would like to introduce myself. I am sure that I can learn a lot from all of you!
I have been diagnosed during my laparoscopy at the end of October 2023. I was dealing with pain for years now which included finding out many drugs that I am allergic to... I haven't heard from the gynecology yet, but after the surgery I was told they found some endometriosis. I started reading about it and found that there are things I can do to help with pain. I've been vegan for years now, but I became very strict with unprocessed and gluten free food as well. I incorporated many antiinflammatory things into my diet as well and it seems to be working. Daily yoga also helps for both cramps and some joint pains. All in all, I am very hopeful that with a lot of self love and some lifestyle changes I can manage it to the acceptable level.
Tell me your stories! I am very happy to be here!

I was diagnosed not too long ago, too. We are the same age and have a very similar lifestyle (vegan, yoga, no processed food, and I am gluten-free).
I might need to go through a laparoscopy due to a 9.1 cm cyst on my left ovary. I shall learn more at the end of next week. I feel scared and worried about it. Would you be open to sharing what helped you on this journey towards and during the laparoscopy?
Hi JH, I am so glad to find someone with similar lifestyle! I was told by not so supportive family members that I may be crazy doing all of these things as "I didn't use to do it all and everything was fine"...
I am more than happy to share all the knowledge and experience I have. Please, ask whatever you would like to know. I am an open book. <3
I had a mass removed similar size to yours about 2 weeks ago now. The first 24 hrs was uncomfy (lean on family/friends for a few days if you can) because I couldnt really sit/stand without help but after that it just became sore at the incision site which is to be expected.
I'm currently having my first period since getting the coil put in (had it done during my operation, when I was under anesthetic), so few more cramps and things now but all in all, I feel much better already. Mine was excision surgery so they have left me with a nice long scar but that's a small price to pay.
I've have heard you can feel bloated after a lap procedure.
Really hope it goes well and you're more comfy after xx
