I’m being investigated for bowel endo - unsure of the stage atm. I get rectal bleeding when I get my period. I am on the pill though to help regulate them.
I get severe lower back cramps and abdominal cramps.
I had an ultrasound a few weeks ago where the doctor found lots of small cysts on both my ovaries - unsure if it’s linked.
I have a consultation at the hospital in a few weeks to hopefully get the ball rolling.
Did anyone experience this and know what stage they were dealing with?
Thanks x

I had rectal bleeding along with sharp pain during periods and extreme pain whilst voiding. The pain was so bad that I used to cry. This eased after I had the covid vaccine and didn’t have a period for a few months. It eased further after the Mirena & polyp removal (from uterus).
I am stage 4 endo & I also have adeno. I had surgery in March 2023 to remove endo from my pelvis etc. The significant plaque in my pouch of Douglas was left as it wasn’t causing issues when I went for surgery.
I’m so sorry you’re going through this and I hope you get information that will be helpful to you.
I’ve had Endo for 17 years and I don’t know what stage I am or have been. The pain we have doesn’t always correlate with the severity of the disease and there’s so many factors to consider. So I have never focused or asked what stage I am. Our bodies are unique and each case they see is different.
Taking it one day at a time was all I could manage. The internet was not invented when I started going to the Drs, lol!
Hope you find comfort at your appointment and The Consultant is really kind to you 🫂❤️
I have bowel endo including a muscle invasive deposit which all showed up on an MRI. When I was having periods (I'm on the pill back to back now) I would get rectal bleeding and I still get severe pain and bloating in my abdomen. Due to waiting times I paid to see a consultant privately and he didn't mention anything about the stage of endo but I think it is assumed that if it is deep invasive then it's likely to be stage 3 or 4. But that doesn't necessarily correlate to pain as people with stage 1 can be in significant pain!Best of luck with your appointment xx
