My consultant said the Transvaginal scan and the Laparoscopy I just had both showed signs of Adenomyosis.
I’m keen to help myself in any way I can to reduce chronic pain, bowel symptoms and anxiety while I wait for my follow up appointment, but I can find far fewer resources on adeno versus endo.
Does anyone have any resources, books or other tips for adenomyosis management please? 🙏
Thanks!

I have adeno and endo, it’s quite usual to have one and the other together so you should get and MRI to check for endo too. I don’t know much about adeno except that I have read it can be stopped by a hysterectomy (endo can’t) and there is also another treatment that can help where the docs cut off the blood supply to the womb which can sometimes help. Maybe google these terms and see what you can find. Sorry I can’t be more helpful.
Thanks, that is helpful 🙏 how were you diagnosed for both?
I’ll ask for an MRI too. The laparoscopy I had showed I didn’t have endo in the pelvic region at least, I suppose it could be elsewhere but I understand that is far more rare 🤷♀️
Definitely don’t want a hysterectomy cos I still want to have kids at some point so I’ll look at the other method you mention too. Thank you!
