Hi all - was wondering if anyone had had experience with WPA Healthcare refusing treatment due to having seen the doctor about period pains in the past?
Given the vast number of medical conditions of which period pains could be a symptom it seems absolutely wrong that they can use this to refuse a claim for a laparoscopic excision 10 years down the line!

Hey Bertie. I had WPA insurance through work. I was on the lowest policy and I was covered. However I ended up having to pay for my surgery myself as the policy only covered a certain amount. I'm surprised they won't cover it though as you said period pain can be a variety of things. What are you having the lap for? Maybe try and call again and reword it
Trying now for a third time, this time with the support of the consultant who has clearly stated that it is highly unlikely that there is any connection between the period pains and the endometriosis. Have a suspicion though that WPA will be standing their ground though and quoting the letter of the terms and conditions, but will update when I hear
