so finally had a gynae appointment not with a consultant but a endo/pain specialist and she was great. Started me on zoladex injections which helped till 2 weeks in I had a bleed which I think is normal.

The nurse did say I could stay on these injections till I hit the menopause I’m 46 atm. Is this correct? Has anyone stayed on the injections long term?

Hello

I had the same question last year, I asked the same question and a couple of people said they had been on them for years.

After extensive research I didn't feel comfortable being on them any longer than 6 month's - think I did 7 months in the end. I did say to my consultant if it wasn't for COVID backlogs I wouldnt even be asked to be on them longer than 6 month's. I was on them while I wanted for surgery to which he agreed.

I would do lots of research and do what you feel comfortable with. I am not sure if that helps at all.

Take care

Abby
