Has anyone had pelvic floor trigger point injections or ilioinguinal, iliohypogastric and genitofemoral nerve infiltrations? Doctor has scheduled me for both and I have no idea what to expect! Feeling, nervous please share experiences?

Hello, I have not yet had trigger point injections but personally am hoping to be able to get them and then, hopefully, be able to follow up with and tolerate pelvic floor physiotherapy. The other injections you've mentioned, I am not familiar with. Good luck to you and please let us know how it goes!!

I think that is very sensible - I tried to do it the other way around (physio before the injections) and yikes it was painful! I will def let you know how I get on with the trigger point stuff :)

Hi Hannah,Are you talking about nerve blocks?

If so they can really help. They have for me. But they go via the bottom rather than via the vulva

Is this for nerve pain ?

If you have nerve pain I'd recommend a chiropractor before any pharmaceutical medication ...I have nerve damage from a twisted pelvis and broken pubic bone.

I've seen the chiropractor 3x and my body has changed completly and this is without being worked on properly as I was in so much pain they couldn't work on me ...

Good luck x
