Just having a bad day feeling really low and depressed about dealing with chronic pain every single day despite being on norethisterone and zoladex for over a year! Just wanted to reach out for some reassurance that I’m not the only woman in the world feeling like this? I feel so depressed all the time and don’t know what to do to shift this awful feeling. Endo has taken over my life completely: I’ve been living with this for half my life and I’m now 32. How do you all manage to not let it beat you? How do you cope with being in chronic pain? My doctor and specialist just don’t understand tbh ☹️

you’re definitely not the only one in this situation! I use distraction! Work works well! I tend to not feel as shit or as in pain! But at the same time I don’t do too much! It’s about finding a routine that works for you! Hot baths are great for pain relief! Can’t really offer you more than that! You just unfortunately have to just carry on, regardless! I’m 37 and been in pain most of my life! Xx
Just wondering if your Gp/ specialist have looked at all the options for you re pain relief. It might be worth asking for referral to a pain specialist-not to diagnose you but to identify options for pain medication. I found it helpful and got the best combination I could although I still do have pain and you have to balance out the side effects with the pain relief and decide what gives you best quality of life.
Is there a plan for you to have more treatment/ surgery?
Some people here have tried different non medical approaches such as changes to diet, complementary therapies such as acupuncture, using a Tens machine - there will be different threads giving you some ideas. Personally I found dietary changes only of limited help but I have never gone all out for it I must admit. The Tens machine is some help - wearable ones are quite discreet and not too expensive. If you look online there is an expensive one advertised, I found it just the same as the ones for a third of the price.
I think taking care of yourself mentally and physically and finding support where you can is important. The hormone treatments can have quite an effect on your mood as well as your body. Xx
