Feel worse after surgery

5 weeks post surgery for removal of endometriosis. Had superficial endometriosis in addition to more severe on my rectum and over my bladder. I feel like I am deteriorating further by each day and feel worse each day I wake up. I definitely feel worse than before I had my operation. The tiredness is unreal where I constantly yawn and fall asleep so quickly if sat down on the sofa. I wake up evermore g feeling like I have had no sleep despite having 8 hours rest. I have diarrhoea almost every day and some times more than once. I feel sick at times after eating and get occasional stomach pains. Sometimes it feels like period pain but I am not on or coming on my period. When do you start to feel better as I have had enough . I am not sure how I am going to cope going back to work tomorrow when it is a struggle and effort to keep awake during the day I have my follow up with the surgeon next week.

Hi there,

So sorry you are feeling like this after surgery!

I have not had surgery but I also have Superficial Endometriosis and contemplating surgery as I was told at a gynaecological department at the NHS it doesn’t help the pain. However one lady on here says it really helped her. It’s probably dependant in where it is, I also feel it in the rectal area.

I feel someone very specialist needs to feel with this.

Do you know what method they used to remove? Wide excision of ablation? I have read and researched Excision is better as removes all of it.

I really hope you can heal and feel better and get some answers from your surgeon.
