Lost of treatment's efficacy

Has it ever happen to you that a pill loses its efficacy?Last June I switch to a new contraceptive pill, which allows me to have the most normal summer of my life, without any bloating and any pain. It is a couple of weeks that pain started to come back slowly, and now I have pain almost like before I got my first treatment. And I am pretty sure I am ovulating this month even if I am taking the pill. Has it ever happen to you?
