Endo and severe nausea :(

I’ve got stage 3 endo and nausea is something I’ve struggled with for the past 3 years, I used to take a strong anti sickness for about a year untill my gp suddenly stopped with no reason it was devastating and I’ve since tried every trick in the book I know and it’s completely stopping me from even leaving my bedroom. Would he massively appreciated if anyone had any advice or tips they may know as I’m desperate!!🤍

I found ginger tea has helped with nausea a lot

I also suffered with extreme nausea. I was suffering hydronephrosis due to endo lesion blocking my ureter and backing up my kidneys. The nausea has gone after excision surgery and hysterectomy (I had adenomyosis as well) Find an endometriosis specialist surgeon, general gynaecology are useless at treating this awful condition.

Hello there.

Definitely raw ginger tea. Always helps. Another thing that helps me is lemon water. I feel better within 15 mins of drinking it.

I hope these will help you

Sorry for what you're going through,

Xx

did they not say why they’d stopped it? And are they aware of how badly you suffer with the nausea and the limitations it’s causing for you now?

I also take anti emetic medicines. Currently on ondansetron and cyclizine when needed. But have tried most of the others as well. I know you’re not supposed to take metoclopramide long term because of side effects (just incase that was one you were taking) xx

Please can you tell me about those side effects as my GP has prescribed me metoclopramide!

My GP only gave me a months worth. This is the page docs use to check if there are any contraindications to you taking these meds

I've tried a few different medications but they seems to loose effectiveness over time. I got some ginger tablets in Holland & Barrett which you can swallow or empty the capsule into hot water to make tea. These help a bit. They have a high concentration of gingerols (not all ginger does). Though I will admit a few months back I was signed off work for a week due to really bad nausea. I'm waiting for surgery and hoping it'll improve afterwards as it did 4 years ago when I had my last opp. I hope you find something that helps, nausea is just the worst x
