hi

I’ve had bladder pain for 8 years now. Turns out I have endo. I’m really upset because now I’m always going to be in pain. They’ve put me on the mini pill but it’s not working. What do I do? I can’t be in pain forever, I hate this so much!!!! What do I do?

Oh Emmy, my heart aches for you. When I got my diagnosis I was part relieved, part so upset because I thought, I don’t want this forever! So I get it. It sucks. How did they diagnose you? Did you have surgery? I found surgery helped and then day-to-day: pain meds, clean diet (anti-inflammatory, gut health foods), supplements, wheat bag, not over loading your schedule and allowing enough time for rest, exercise. I know it sounds awful, but it will get better. Maybe not so much the disease, but you will find little tips and tricks that work for you, and finding a good doctor, naturopath etc really helps. 💗

i was diagnosed with an mri. I’m just so upset, I thought I just had an overactive bladder. I’m scared as hell that I can’t do what I want.

I also find a holistic approach of conventional medicine, taking whatever time I can take to rest, and dietary changes (more veggies, no gluten, no cow’s dairy, only deep sea fish - no farmed fish) to be the most useful in managing my symptoms so far.

I also recommend getting a copy of the book Endometriosis by Dian Shepperson-Mills. She is British and treats Endo from a nutritional viewpoint. Her book is rather informative. And you’re supposed to be able to get it on Amazon.

I feel for you, the bladder pain and symptoms on top of the endo pain is awful. I also have bladder involvement with my endo and felt really desperate that this was how life was going to stay. It took a long time to settle my symptoms but they have now eased massively. I found a more anti-inflammatory diet helped, along with working on stress levels and taking homeopathy.
