You can get medication from your GP to help with this. I found it had some effect -it delays you starting urinating so is good if you have urgency -needing to go immediately. There are some side effects, particularly a dry mouth, I found.
It might also be worth you asking to see a specialist physio, I found this was also helpful for non medical ideas. You can do pelvic floor exercises, again this helps with control of urination.
I seem to remember you can do bladder training, to help your bladder learn to hold on for longer - a physio could help with that or you could probably find information on line.
