Hi There, I'm currently looking for a gynaecologist recommendation in London. Having spoken to my GP and got a referal for a gynaecologist, the wait time is 120 days so want to look into a private option. If anyone has recommendations please can you let me know? Thank you
It's not allowed to recommend surgeons on here. People might private message you but it's best to have a balanced overview of positive and negative feedback from as many as possible. Will message you with a source you can try for this.
I was in a similar position recently, but couldn’t even get an NHS referral. Fortunately, there are two NHS endo centres in the local hospitals in my area. So I started there, and checked the names of the consultants and searched to see if any also offered private appointments at other clinics. Some did. It’s so sad that we have to go this route, but many women must be doing the same as I was told by the secretaries / PAs I contacted that the waiting list for a private appointment would be between 6-12 weeks. I hope you find someone…and soon.
Check the consultants at your nearest BSGE first, because they can transfer you over to NHS more easily.
If you have private insurance, check their registered consultants lists.
That's not bad it's a 52 week wait here.
