Age- around 20-25?

Hi, I am new here!

I was just wondering if anybody was around the age of 20? I am myself, so it would be nice to talk to someone around my age (ish) for their advice and to see if we have anything in common?

Thanks x 🙃

hi, I’m not diagnosed yet but have been told it’s more than likely. I have bleeding, back pain, constipation, severe abdominal and pelvic pain and plenty more but didn’t want to bore you! Haha x

l_fulk in reply toSaf1Saf1

yes, my specialist left so had to ring and ring and ring to be seen by someone else and now have an appointment 15th Nov. It can’t come quick enough! I’m awaiting a laproscopy but I just feel so down and depressed with it all! Xx

Hey 👋🏻 I’m 23 and was diagnosed last year after a laparoscopy. I found the lap helped with the pain thankfully, hang in there I know how miserable it can be when you’re in pain! Xx

hi! Thank you 🥰

I’m really scared to have this op! I know I need it but I get sooo anxious!!! ☹️ Hope you’re ok xxx

I was really nervous too but it was all absolutely fine! Apart from being a bit stiff I wasn’t in any pain afterwards. You’ll be taken care of xxx

l_fulk in reply toZiggyandBC

I think it’s because I was rushed in when I was much much younger, as they were behind on the list and it scarred me for life 😅 also hate the feeling of going to sleep xxx

ZiggyandBC in reply tol_fulk

Having a bad experience in the past definitely doesn’t help! Just remember that the feeling of going to sleep only lasts for a minute or 2 and then when you wake up you’ll have forgotten all about it! It’s scary but you got this! 🥰

Hello!

I feel like the waiting list is so depressing! I’ve been waiting 8 months and have at least a year to go. I appreciate its been covid, however we are all in so much pain here…. Like hurry up! 😅😅xx

PBGV24 in reply tol_fulk

that’s such a long time! It’s horrendous. I work in the NHS and chat to patients and some just wait so so long. I’ve been given approx 2-3 months wait so fingers crossed! Have you try called your Hospitals waiting list department. You could say you will do cancellations or take last minute appointments.

oh wow that’s lucky!

I’m in south east area x

I’ve rung the waiting list a couple of times and hopefully the gynaecologist at the hospital is doing that too, she said she would xx

PBGV24 in reply tol_fulk

I am lucky compared to other people! (However the wait here for a hip or knee replacement is over a year!!) I’m in the north east area at quite a small hospital trust.

hi! Thank you 🥰 that is really appreciated! I was put on the pill at age 12 for pain so I feel like I’ve had the pain for years without really thinking about what it could be xx

After a scan that A&E booked me yesterday, I spoke with the gynaecologist and decided to come off the pill as they said it doesn’t sound like it’s helping with the pain, that it should do, and also the constant bleeding that shouldn’t be happening either xx

Its like a job isnt it! Which scan did you have ultrasound or MRI just curious! I haven't had scan for 4 years and things are getting worse so might phone up for one.

You do you 100% we all have similar experiences and struggles but medicine and treatments are so individual and lots of trial and error. I say keep a journal to track how you are on what you do try or what you try to go without

I'm on nexplanon and combined pills and still have 6-hour flares between the late night and early morning.

But onwards and upwards!😀xxx

matilda_alice profile image
matilda_alice in reply tol_fulk

yay! I feel young again 😂 I’m doing okay, I need to have a colonoscopy soon which I’m not hyped about! I’ve been bleeding for almost 17 days now post coil insertion, I wish there were better options for endo other than contraception 😔

l_fulk profile image
l_fulk in reply tomatilda_alice

I’ve just been told that it sounds like contraception isn’t helping me so I’m coming of tomorrow after 8 years!! Which I’m so happy about! I hope it makes a difference xxx

I’m so glad you’re able to come off it! Always here if you want to chat xx
