I finally got my medical records from the consultant who performed my laparscopy and diagnosed me with endometriosis in 2018 and feeling so lost.
it plainly confirmed that since the laparscopy he did in early 2018 he'd found I have endometriosis on the bladder and rectum and tubes were removed due to being badly scarred and that he could not treat me with future surgery for fear of damaging other organs therefore he recommends the coil or decapeptyl injections only going forward.
I had the most awful experience with the injections and mini pill and was not aware of any of this and my pain just increases since 2018 and have lost work and am unlikely to work again as things don't seem to be improving.
this is private healthcare in Ireland today and I'd still be waiting on waiting lists for the public health service but I'm just so hurt by the knowledge that my then gp and the consultant have these records stating this 4yrs and never told me. Just so grateful I've got a new gp and can finally give him a copy of this information.
thank you for letting me 'cry it out ' here and is there anyone in the same diagnosis?

If you have deep infiltrating endometriosis I think you need to be managed by a specialist centre - there are some NICE guidelines that I was pointed towards. They use a multidisciplinary approach ie involving surgeons that work on those other organs. I also have private insurance and will be speaking to them on Monday about how they can replicate that multidisciplinary approach rather than a gynaecologist alone completing the surgery. If you’re still in pain might be worth a second referral?
Thank you for replying and that's definitely something to consider. As you can imagine I'm still processing what all this means and going to schedule an appointment with my GP first thing to let him know and also discuss further options
