has anyone been on the mini pill and combined pill and actually found they are having more than one period? Also how do you cope with the emotional side of things? I am on anti depression tablets seems to help a bit x

Hi charlie I don’t know what mini pill is exactly but should be hormon. I am supposed to start on an add back pills in the next 3 month bcuz of gnrh injections I am taking right now. So adding insults to an injury 😞☹️ as I struggle with lots of emotional episodes like you😢

I am not on anti depressant I never was but I think I may need to ask my doctor if I cannot handle these . My family doctor had given me Ativan before after my two b2b ivfs early 2021 which was during Covid surges as well due to my high level of anxiety ( I had 3 ivfs before that and never had anxiety) . It helps bringing down my blood pressure a bit too which goes up if I am stressed out or during ivf stims.

So sometimes I take Ativan 5 or 10 mg but its not that often and I try to make my mind busy with something like a book or a fun movie ( believe me even sometimes I cry watching a cartoon or comedy) if I can talk to a friend that helps me a lot.

Also I found swimming helps a lot or biking.

I couldn’t go biking yet due to having laparotomy surgery this summer I believe that will do so much for coping with hormonal ups n downs

I have been taking antidepressants for quite a few years now so haven't got the emotional side effects of the pill. I've only been taking the mini pill for 2 months so far, so I'm hoping it is still settling down. But yes, I've already had 4 periods and they are worse than normal :/ how is the pain for you?
