Has anyone got any experience of being on the mini pill (progesterone only pill) with endo? My gynae put me on it & it’s literally made no difference - same excruciating pain & level of bleeding. It’s only my first month being on it so wondering if this will settle down. Guidance appreciated xx

Mini pill & endo
It took 3 months for me to settle into it. It has made a works of difference to me not having periods but still sufferer with other pains which are being investigated.
Hi it takes at least 6 months for some but it does reduce the symptoms and heavy periods, for some stops their periods completely never did for me x
Hey, I was on it for over a year and it didn't make any difference fo my periods to be honest . In the end after being on some form of contraceptive (tried implanon in arm, several pills microgynon, low dose, POP) for 12/13 years and having other symptoms digrstive issues mainly and low mood I came off the pill entirely. I've been told to get through coil but reading people's experiences about insertion and then suffering and not being able to get it removed I don't feel like I want to go through it unless I know 100% it will really help all my symptoms. At the moment I'm trying to cut down on what I eat around my period and supplements.
It has helped me a lot. It takes about 3 months to work, sometimes it makes you bleeed more but I was told by two gynaes to take a double dose. This topped my periods right away and I haven't had anymore for two years. It doesn't stop endo growing but it stops your period so that can really help with the pain.
Hey, I am awaiting a laparoscopy for an official endo diagnosis. In the mean time I was put on cerelle and it has really helped me. My main issues stemmed from my periods so stopping them has helped me a lot with pain. But i guess everyone is different. Like the other ladies have said it can take a while for them to kick in, so hopefully it will work for you too x
I am have been on ceravette for two years and it took a year to settle but once it did I don't bleed at all. I have endo and adeno. The negatives are that I have put on a stone in weight and really struggling with that, as nothing seems to be shifting it. I am also experiencing other back pain that I am being investigated for and they think it's piriformis syndrome (so not gyne related) however I am suspicious that the pill is contributing to my body pains/aches. In summary it has solved my extreme bleeding and cramps but has come at a price.
Hi I did start off with one pill aday then a year later doubled it got alot of headaches so went back to one pill.Still got a period every 8 weeks instead of 21 days only that still had pain.So had a transvaginal scan got endo on the bowel ,ovaries are pulled into the uterus doesn't stop the endo.So next one was take prostap injections iv refused that so next is surgery x
Thank you so much everyone that’s a massive help xxx
My first period on the pill was exactly the same as before. This is only the second month of me taking it, and the bleeding slowed but a lot of the pain was still there. I'm hoping it will work!
