Back pain?

Hello there, I am awaiting a gynaecologist appt but two doctors I have spoken to think I may have endometriosis. I have a lot of symptoms of it. One thing I’ve also been suffering from (along with the pelvis / lower back pain when on my period) is general back pain. This pain seems to be my whole back, especially in the middle of my back where my spine is. Has anyone with endometriosis suffered this symptom at all? I was wondering if it could be linked or if i could just have two separate issues. Thank you

Hi, sorry to hear about your pains and aches. My back pain is very much ruled by endo for sure. Regular visits to the chiro helps for sure for myself. Hope it gives you an idea

Hey :-) thank you for your reply. I’ve been seeing a Chiro regularly for several years which does help sometimes. I had terrible period and pelvis pain this cycle and since then my back has hurt every day. As it’s only just been suggested to me about endo I wasn’t sure if it was all linked in the first place. Very sorry to hear you suffer too. Rubbish isn’t it :-(

Yes back pain is very common with adenomysiosis and endo. I had terrible back pain every time I had my period. I had endo removed from my uxterosacral ligaments and it can also grow along your sciatic nerves. Backspecialists won't pick it up at all as they do a different kind of MRI. Go to a good gyane and get an MRI and that will show you exactly what is wrong.

Thank you for your advice and getting back to me :-) i hope then that an MRI can help me identify any issues. I hope your back pain is better now xx

also, wanted to share that a visit at the podiatrist helped and transformed my life. a lot of my lower back pain was coming from a bad posture which was corrected by a pair of orthodics. the pain has gone from 100% all the time to about 10% of the time in a monthly cycle. might not be the case for everyone but I was shocked to see the improvement so I thought I will share. wishing you a good recovery

Hi both. This Is interesting. I am 50. I was diagnosed with endo when i was in my mid 30s after many years òf painful periods and misdiagnosis. I had the usual symptoms but much later had a strange swelling around my belly button. I wasn't believed when I suggested it was endo... but I was later proved right. For a few years now I've suffered with lumbar back pain and stiffness..and bladder issues to boot. .an MRI showed spinal stenosis... but I am also concern it maybe caused by endo and overlooked. No one links all these symptoms together or looks at it holistically ! I don't know if I am barking up the wrong tree.
