Hello, firstly let me say how brave it is to openly speak about a very uncomfortable illness. Not only does it affect your body it affects your way of life, your personality and your mental health and it's exhausting because you can't see it from the outside!
I have severe endometriosis and I have not undergone any previous surgery for the condition as yet.
When I was young I suffered a lot with cystitis having to sit in a shallow bath of water to ease the pain.
I have two healthy children from two difficult pregnancies one of which was emergency C-section. I had post natal depression and lost a lot of confidence.
I'm now eagerly awaiting my first operation date but I sometimes worry I will feel the way I did after my C-section and my anxiety is making me worry about the what if's or if something goes wrong.
The pain from endometriosis can sometimes be so unpredictable and the fatigue and feeling sick is exhausting. It stops you from attending activities because you worry if you might have IBS that day.
I hope most operations are successful and you feel more like yourself again post op.
