Hi everyone looking for some advice I have recently fallen pregnant(3 weeks) on my second round of IVF having had a terrible experience on my first round. On my first round the IVF after a successful pregnancy and a miscarriage the hormones caused a massive growth of an endometrioma on my ovary which resulted in my ovary having to be removed. While they were doing this my bowel was perforated which led to a stoma for 19 months and further reversal of the stoma.
As you can imagine with all this I am now a little apprehensive. This time I have done a frozen embryo cycle and have been really nauseous with headaches and loose bowel movements, I have put this down to the hormones but I'm worried there is more to it. Has anyone else experienced this on a frozen embryo cycle?
Also if this pregnancy is successful has anyone else went full term with stage 4 endo and was there any complications?

Hi. It sounds like you have really been through it. I’m afraid I can’t help regarding the frozen embryo symptoms as we did a fresh transfer but I do have stage 4 deep infiltrated endometriosis with bowel and bladder complications. I did have an elective c-section at 37 weeks but it was nothing to do with the endometriosis, I had placenta Previa and they decided it was the safest thing to do but we were both fine and at nearly 8lb wasn’t the light weight we were expecting 😀.My endometriosis has been very well behaved since. Wishing you lots of luck and baby dust. Xx
Hi. I also fell pregnant with my second attempt which was a frozen embryo transfer. I have stage 4 endo. Like you I suffered with bowels, headaches and sickness like never before. I put it down to the hormones and injections too. I was still injecting blood thinning meds and using pessaries until 12 weeks which I’m sure contributed. I had my beautiful boy naturally at 40 weeks with no complications from my endometriosis. All the way through I second guessed everything and though it was going to go wrong, hang in there. Wishing you lots and lots of luck. Xxxx
