Has anyone been diagnosed with endo on the diaphragm?

Through out the last 4 years with my endo battle ( diagnosed) I have had little nigling sensations and symptoms around my ribs, chest and shoulders, the drs haven’t paid much attention to my concerns saying it’s too rare for me to rectovaginal, bladder, pelvic walls and ligament endometriosis and diaphragm endometriosis. However in the last year these sensations have turned into full blown pain flairs, in both shoulders ( like the pain after a laparoscopic) pushing and squeezing under my ribs, tingling and numbness in arms, mainly my left.

Has anyone been through this or have had to fight to be listened to regarding endometriosis on the diaphragm and how did you get them to listen?

Hi,They haven’t told me I have endo on diaphragm but I do have very similar pain, pretty much every month I have pain under my ribs and upper back near the shoulder blades. Once my period comes the pain disappears.

That’s interesting. Iv had a hysterectomy but still have my ovaries. I can’t say for sure when my period would be but it seems to be in a cycle with other menstrual symptoms.

Yes I had endo on my diaphragm-I had/have stage IV endo and it was all over my organs as well as “deeply infiltrating” my diaphragm according to the surgeon’s report after my laparoscopy. Every month I had two weeks of shoulder pain-mainly in the right upper quadrant of my back & shoulder. It was awful and painkillers usually didn’t touch it. I told GPs and gynaecologists but none of them really believed it was endo on my diaphragm. Thankfully I finally saw a gynaecologist/surgeon (after 5 years) who performed a laparoscopy and removed as much endo as possible. I still have some endo remaining but the pain isn’t anywhere near as bad as it used to be… I’m pregnant now so getting a break from it anyway-I don’t know what it’ll be like when my periods return after the birth but I’m praying it won’t ever be as bad again… Don’t give up-keep going until you find the right doctor who can help you…

Hiya

So… heres my story. During my periods I usually get really bad vomiting and nausea followed with shoulder pain. I always thought this was normal after years of battling with my GP and being told that having a baby will sort it (sigh).

2 weeks ago I couldn’t move my right arm it was soooo bad I ended up in A&E. I did an xray then after 3 confused doctors they said I had tendonitis. I was really convinced but went with the diagnosis and self referred for a physio and been on painkillers. Then randomly today my left shoulder/ arm started aching soooo bad. I checked my Flo app and noticed that im due on in a week.

Went onto Google to get answer as to why this pain is soooo excruciating and now im here.

I think im going to go private with this one because I am 30years old and want to start a family soon.

Anyone else experiencing anything like this??? Helpppp
