Doctor agrees it could be endo. Just waiting for tests to rule out everything else.

I had one scan last week which came back clear. So I went back to my doctor... she originally said she didn’t know what else they could do. I insisted I was still in pain so she got me in for another appointment. After another chat, she questioned symptoms around my period etc, and I asked her if she thought it could be endo. She agreed it could be. Honestly I was afraid of suggesting it in case she thought I was just Googling... but she said there was nothing wrong with researching your own health, which made me feel better.

But I am going for other scans, including internal - which I am terrified about! - and she also gave me stronger meds. She wants to rule out fibroids, cysts etc. But she says if that’s clear it could very likely be endo.

I don’t know how to feel. This has been a long road and a particularly painful few months. I’m just ready for answers, but knowing it is probably endo has me feeling a small bit of relief. Relief that I am not just hysterical or imagining the pain.

But now comes the long wait for another scan. Though considering it’s internal... I’m not particularly looking forward to it!

Hi With endo- things can take a lot of time to resolve.

I am further along the track of life - but still suffer - stress plus outside factors

do not help.

One step at a time find that some things us ladies have to do in life.

Try to be postive and wait for the next test result.

hope it works for you.

Hi CaledoniaSloth91

It's good to hear that you have a supportive doctor who is taking your concerns seriously and has set out a plan for ruling out possible sources of your pain. It's totally normal to be anxious about scans and possible surgery, but as a result of the investigations hopefully you'll be given a diagnosis that will identify the cause of your pain.

If you haven't already checked out our website, it's well worth taking a look at the information pages, especially details about pain relief options, which could help while waiting for a diagnosis. You can find this at endometriosis-uk.org/pain-r...

Wishing you all the best x
