How easy is it to get an Endometriosis diagnosis, as my Gynaecologist is very dismissive of all my symptoms and I'm at my wits end with my health atm.

Endometriosis diagnosis
Hi Kermit1975, to get a diagnosis for endo it’s a keyhole surgery called laparoscopy if you are unhappy with the gynaecologist you saw, ask to see someone else. You know your body better then anyone else, Iv been dismissed many times so I know the feeling, write down your symptoms, how long you have had problems for, any triggers etc and some times you have to tell them what you want and not back down. This community and the website is fab for information. I really hope you get some answers soon xx
Ask for a referral to see a gynaecologist who specializes in endometriosis . My daughter is five years in with gynaecologists and finally going to see one who can help. I wish you luck
Hi with endo their is so many things that connect with your monthly problems.
Sickness, pain etc - you will need to write them down.
Stress I have been a bit further on than you it not been easy - still have
some issues 10 years on.
Endo creates scar tissue with-in the body hence the pain.
May need to have the key-hole op to find out more- fingers crossed the result
will give you peace of mind.
Hi Kermit1975, I'm so sorry to hear you're at your wits end, many of us sadly know the feeling. I agree with the replies above, ask to see someone else if you are not getting the answers you deserve from your current gynecologist. Don't give up. I too wrote everything down and so I was armed and prepared when it came to my appointments. Best of luck, I hope your concerns are heard soon.
